You will be a part of a dedicated and strong team of 9 people with very good spirit and passion for what we do here. We have our own building and very good work environment. The main plant of Ecophon is 50 m away and we have a close cooperation with production maintenance and other tech departments. Travel (abroad depending on projects) is included in position for testing and start-up. The position is full-time. This is not a remote or hybrid work location position.

 

Job summary

The Automation Engineer designs automation solutions and drives new development and customization throughout the project, from project start to ramp-up and delivery.

The key points in your duties and responsibility:

• Design automation architecture for machines or production lines.
• Configuration and programming of PLC´s, servo drives, frequency converters, HMIs and other control systems on the line
• Testing and monitoring installation to comply to the specifications/expectations.
• Plan automation resource and supervise external resources.
• Do close collaboration with mechanical engineers, automation engineers, project managers and our internal customers

 

It would be meritorious if you can do electrical design.

Requirements

We believe you have a Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering discipline (Automation/Electrical/Industrial) or equivalent. You also fit most of these requirements:
• At least 5 years´ experience in a large manufacturing environment with automation responsibility
• Experience in design and programming automation for integrated lines and process equipment
• Experience and ability to lead external Automation engineers in case the scope is too big for our own resources.
• Communicate with other areas in a simple and clear manner, even the most technical parts
• Ability and experience to read (and design = meritorious) in ElProCad / Eplan systems for electrical diagrams for troubleshooting. We do accept experience from equivalent CAD system.
• Programming inside the Siemens TIA portal
• Work independently at specifics tasks and as a member of a team on larger tasks.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer orientation skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and a self-starter.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

Job summary

The Automation Engineer will optimize existing solutions and drive development of new functions including automation  design and customization throughout the project flow, from start to delivery.

The key points in your duties and responsibility:

• To do programming of PLC´s and control system for lines
• Design automation  architecture for machines or production lines.
• Implement  automation in projects, do  testing and monitoring automation during installation in Sweden and abroad to make sure the result is according to the lines specifications.
• Define resources within automation and act as a supervisor for hired resources.
• Do close collaboration with mechanical designers, other automation engineers and our internal customers
• Communicate with other areas in a simple and clear manner, even the most technical parts.

It would be meritorious if you can do electrical design.

Requirements

We believe you have a Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/industrial) You also fit most of these requirements:
• At least 5 years´ experience in a large manufacturing environment with automation background
• Experience in design and programming automation for integrated lines and process equipment
• Experience from ensuring the flow between the equipment that transform the product.
• Experience and ability to lead external Automation engineers in case the scope is too big for our own resources.
• Ability and experience to read and design in ElPro Cad system for layouts, assembly, and troubleshooting. We do accept experience from equivalent CAD system
• Programming inside the Siemens TIA portal
• Work independently at specifics tasks and as a member of a team on larger tasks.
• You have participated in projects including successful installation and start-up in Sweden and abroad.
• You don´t mind spending project-related time abroad (a few days/weeks up to a few months – typically 2 to 3 for large projects) with the start-up team
• Good  communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Good  time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and a self-starter.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

You will be a part of a dedicated and strong team of 9 people with very good spirit and passion for what we do here. We have our own building and very good work environment. The main plant of Ecophon is 50 m away and we have a close cooperation with production maintenance and other tech departments.

Travel in the position is included and the position is full-time.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main task will be to do 3D constructions and drawings of machines and integration equipment according to your mechanical experience and industry standards in close cooperation with project managers.

This includes:
• To design machines and conveyors systems on integrated lines: loader, stackers, converter etc.
• Design, using mechanical standards, and specify machines and lines for our manufacturing processes
• Understanding what components to use and how to dimension them
• Participate in the entire project flow, from launch to delivery and the hiring and guiding of suppliers to various degrees

The process begins with start-up meetings with our internal customers, in order to be able to develop cost-effective solutions that meet these expectations and needs. Based on this, layout and construction drawings are created, specifications are written.

The work also includes parts of development, where testing and evaluation of new technology and solutions take place in our test environment.

Requirements

You probably have a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. You have at least 3-5 years´ experience working as a mechanical design engineer and preferably with transport system solutions for manufacturing lines and equipment designed to assist with material transportation. Skills in Autodesk Vault or Inventor is beneficial and SolidWorks or ProE accepted. Material flow knowledge is meritorious. You need to be fluent in English and Swedish.

We assume you are a self-driven, motivated, and innovative person. To succeed in this role, you need to have a structured way of working as well as the ability to communicate and build relationship with others in the team.
