To be successful we believe you have a minimum of 5 years of progressive and diverse experience as software engineer or technology architect. Moreover, you demonstrate strong IKEA leadership skills, with the ability and credibility to lead and guide both in house and third party teams.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Platform Engineering Manager you will lead the work of scaling down and phasing out legacy platforms over time, while at the same time delivering the data extracts and APIs required to satisfy the ongoing needs of product development teams. In addition, you will manage and lead the implementation of the platform area roadmap, prioritising work and leading re-engineering teams to execute the required activities.You will: · support the Platform Area Manager in developing and executing the platform area roadmap for their respective platform, focussing specifically on the re-engineering of the platform· be responsible for balancing the need of implement the platform roadmap, satisfying the ongoing needs of product development teams, while simplify and modernize the landscape· actively manage and prioritize the re-engineering backlog to support product development and the re-engineering of the platform· work with Capability Area Product Owners and Platform Operations Managers to understand and qualify their needs and requirements, ensuring that are understood and planned into the schedule of work as needed· lead the work of scaling down, simplify and modernise through decomposition, decommission and phasing out the legacy platforms over time· manage stakeholders across Products and Platforms Areas to reach agreement on conflicting/overlapping priorities· drive consistency in practice, process, toolset and architecture across the platform reengineering function· lead, coach and develop members of the platform re-engineering function, promoting best practice in technical architecture· work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering solutions towards the correct architectureIn this role you will report to the Platform Area Manager.For this role we have several openings in the following areas: - Customer Fulfilment and Business Operations.ABOUT THIS WORK AREAWe set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast moving environment.
