Principal Scientist – Analytical Chemistry – Lifecycle Management, R&D, EMEA/APAC
Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Consumer Companies, is recruiting for a Principal Scientist to be based in Helsingborg, Sweden.


The Analytical Lifecycle Management team is responsible for J&J OTC products worldwide. The principal scientist will work within the analytical section and support marketed OTC products primarily within EMEA/APAC but also globally. You will be in a regional team of 6 analytical colleagues and you will report to an Associate Director. The role will be in Helsingborg, but you will have extensive everyday contacts with external and internal manufacturers, CROs and J&J colleagues all over the world.


Are you a person with passion for Analytical Chemistry? This is a phenomenal opportunity for you! Together with your colleagues you will provide desktop analytical support for a series of projects associated with the currently marketed OTC products.


Technical support will include but not be limited to:
Support analytical test method trouble shooting.
Support analytical test method improvement and validation.
Support analytical test method transfers.
Manage CROs and other external partners.
Manage change control deliverables and CAPA activities relating to analytical testing and transfers.



Qualifications
Minimum of Master of Science within a relevant chemistry or pharmaceutical area (merit)
5 + years of experience in an analytical laboratory role with a major emphasis on analytical method development, optimization and product testing (required).
Demonstrated experience and deep knowledge within HPLC/UPLC, dissolution and other major analytical techniques (merit)
Since the product portfolio is global, a broad knowledge of worldwide requirements is a plus. Activities are, to a large extent, outsourced and experience in working with contract development/research organizations is a merit.
Strong written and oral English communication skills are highly valued.

PROCESS ENGINEER, 2 positions
In this role you will be part of the operational improvement team. You will lead, execute and/or support the site’s activities with continuous process improvement, complex problem solving and technical pre-studies. You will also be involved in new product introductions and investment projects. This opening can lead to both a permanent and a 12 months fix term role.

Objectives of the Position
Lead/participate in root cause investigations, complex problem solving, and process improvement work to ensure a compliant and reliable manufacturing/packaging process.

To participate in technical transfer of new products and take the operational lead for the scale-up activities and development of the manufacturing/packaging process.
Support and participate in investment projects as technical representative for production.
Serve as a domain expert in regulatory inspections for manufacturing processes.



Qualifications
M.Sc degree within chemical or pharmaceutical engineering (required).
5 years of experience within pharmaceutical, biochemical or process industry is required (not required for fix term position).
Experience of manufacturing process development, technical trials, and knowledge in process automation systems is required (not required for fix term position).
Experience from coating processes (merit).
Professional level in both Swedish and English (required).
Good skills in technical documentation (required).

Introduction and Overview
The Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health site in Helsingborg, Sweden known as the home of Nicorette®, has been located at the same place for more than 100 years. The site manufactures Nicorette products, to support the smoking cessation need state for Johnson & Johnson, but also products in the allergy and couch and cold sectors. With a growing need for the products produced in Helsingborg, as well as a strong commitment to minimize our environmental impact, there is a string need for a highly capable Facility organization.
 
As an energy champion and project manager within the Facility organization, of one of the largest employers in Helsingborg, you will have the opportunity to directly influence and lead projects and initiatives, that makes a real difference for our consumers as well as the surrounding society and environment.
 
Energy Champion & Project Manager Facility
 
As an energy champion and project manager in the Facility organization you are the heart of the sustainability of the site and have all the Johnson & Johnson employees as your end customers. You handle daily projects, but also the long-term portfolio, to ensure that the buildings we occupy, will last another 100 years. You will also get to lead the continuous improvements within Facility and reduce the environmental impact of the activities performed in Helsingborg. The position is split 50/50 between energy champion and project management but may vary over time. You will be part of a highly functioning team and will lead through others but also independently. This role reports directly to the Sr. Facilities Manager in the Nordics.
 
Objectives of the Position
Plan, administrate and lead Facility projects and initiatives from start to finish.
Act as a technical subject matter expert from Facility in all projects where needed.
Keep drawings, standards, room function programs etc. up to date and accurate.
Research energy saving projects, figure out pay-back periods and lead energy projects to completion.
Actively balance, prioritize, and screen project portfolio to meet capital budgets and the needs of the business.
Ensure that all projects and initiatives led by, or involving the Facility organization, always are compliant with all relevant legislative and internal laws and standards.
Actively promote a sustainability culture and lead the work in that area on the site.
