About the role
As our package expert you will develop new Primary packaging, as well as maintain and enhance the existing range. Always with focus on consumer and customer insights. You will be part of a cross-functional team working closely with Marketing, Consumer Insight, Sales and Purchasing to create functional, environmental-friendly, and appealing packaging products.

Responsibilities includes:
• Initiate and drive feasibility studies to understand product requirements and design packaging solutions that meets technical, regulatory, and consumer needs.
• Create new packaging variants with different shapes, sizes and various opening and closing solutions.
• Develop and optimize designs that enhance product shelf life, reduce waste, and align with environmental goals.
• Define, develop, and implement procedures and verification and validation methods related to package area and execute it.
• Write test specifications, perform tests, analyse package performance and functionality results, as well as document results using reports.
• Drive risk assessment and root cause investigations on package performance and functionality.
• Implement new packaging solutions and ensure quality and operability in our production.

You will also stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in packaging solutions as well as frequently interact with suppliers, and external stakeholders.

This position is located at Ecolean’s head office and production site in Helsingborg. You will be part of a team of technical specification owners within Technology & Research department and report to Director Systems Engineering.

Is this you?
We are looking for someone with a degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science or related field and proven experience in packaging development and design within the food industry. You should have strong knowledge of polymers and cellulose-based materials, processes, printing techniques and regulations related to food packaging. Working with Requirement Management procedure and Risk Assessment is desired as well as experience in physical testing and technical test methodologies in Primary packaging, including openings and closures. We assume that you are also familiar with current and upcoming legislation regarding materials/food as well as environmental aspects.
Solid ability to write and communicate in English is a must. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage. To succeed in this role, you should have an innovative approach and great problem-solving skills. Collaborating and communicating with different people is something that stimulates you.

About the role
As our Systems Engineer you will work across systems, stretching from material, converting, filling machines to packaging solutions. It will be a technically challenging role where you will set standards and ways of working within systems engineering. You will drive, and be part of, development projects targeting global markets.
As Systems Engineer you will handle both technical and management process within systems engineering, thus working interdisciplinary with activities such as defining, building, and maintaining our systems holistically over their life cycles.

You will be analyzing and eliciting customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle by breaking down and define technical requirements. You will proceed with design and system validation while considering the system lifecycle, including system architecture ownership and concept selection. You will keep track of, and follow, the total cost of ownership at a system level simultaneously managing stakeholders involved. You will work closely with specialists within verification, automation, and mechanical engineering.

You will be part of Technical Management within Technology & Research and frequently interact with stakeholders from Product Management, Services and Production.

Who are you?
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with experience from working with TCO, Requirement Management, Risk Management as well as Verification and Validation. We think you have a M.Sc. in Systems, Control & Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field, and experience from all phases of product development. To be successful in this role you need to have great project management skills as well as being structured and analytical.

About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for several key aspects. You'll need to acquire a deep understanding of the theoretical calculations and knowledge associated with plastic and polymer applications and more specifically cast extrusion lines. This knowledge will be put into practical use on the production line, where you'll play a crucial role in optimizing the production process.

As a Process Engineer you'll also act as a technical authority within the team. This means you'll be at the forefront of efforts to enhance the efficiency of Film extrusion lines, ensuring that production consistently meets the required standards. You'll not only oversee these lines but also collaborate on relevant projects and programs.

Additionally, part of your responsibilities will involve training and guiding the production staff. Your aim is to empower them to actively participate in problem identification and troubleshooting.

You'll be responsible for fostering good communication between various departments when it comes to technical issues. This includes tasks like collecting and collating data, report writing, and presenting your findings and recommendations to drive effective solutions.

Furthermore, you'll have a hand in overseeing R&D trials on full-scale Cast film lines. Your insights and expertise will contribute to these trials' success. Additionally, you will be tasked with leading engineering projects of film line equipment, a crucial element in maintaining the line's efficiency and performance.

Who are you?
We are looking for you with a bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, or related field. You have several years of experience of polymer engineering and process design. You also have knowledge and experience in plastics, polymers, pelletizing, and production. Experience working with Product Development is an advantage.

As Development Engineer Polymers you will work alongside dedicated specialists that all share your desire to develop safe and convenient packaging solutions to the food industry, with minimal environmental impact. As our expert in polymer chemistry your main responsibility will be to develop our next generation of materials and food packages.
