In this role you will get to coordinate the development and qualification of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging in a variety of self-care projects together with a wide range of internal and external partners and stakeholders. As a Packaging Development Engineer, you will be the expert from a packaging development perspective in a wide range of projects. For example regarding new product development, reformulation, quality and compliance, improvement of existing packaging, qualification of equivalent packaging materials or additives, mold duplication, packaging cost improvement, plant support, improvement of products profitability. Providing technical expertise in the areas of development, testing and production scale-up of new packaging component and systems.

Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will be:


Collaborate with cross functional partners in EMEA to define the packaging brief and regional needs
Coordinate the creation/modification/improvement of packaging in collaboration with global hubs and external partners, covering packaging development, qualification and implementation
Identify and evaluate technical solutions, including seeing to those materials are aligned with relevant guidelines
Define & execute the packaging development plan
Analyze and validate packaging technical drawing with the support of experienced packaging team members or manager
Generate packaging documentation for product release
Contribute to innovation developing consumer understanding and identifying new ideas
Initiate and own documentation critical to track and follow changes
Create Packaging component specifications and validate specifications and finished product specs


Qualifications
To succeed and thrive in this role, we believe that you bring the following experience:
 
A degree within a relevant area linked to package engineering, polymer or mechanics
At least 4 years working experience within packaging development
Good and versatile knowledge of packaging technologies – materials, molding processes, manufacturing 
Familiarity with the process of developing drugs and/or medical devices
Strong packaging sensibility and interest in promoting the importance of packaging in the product experience
Proficient professional skills in English
Visa to work in the EU

It will be seen as a very strong advantage if you also bring experience in packaging development within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry.
 
You like balancing between a role of technical go-to and the leadership needed to drive your project in a complex environment. Furthermore you have good communication, influencing and flexibility skills to manage ambiguity linked to high matrix environment and turn complex cases into synthetic recommendations. We also see that you are self-motivated and results-driven, able to easily connect with remote stakeholders or peers. Curiosity, creativity and the ability to translate ideas into concepts and projects are also skills that you bring. About the role
We are expanding our Product and Development department and are looking for a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our Refrigeration team. Your primary focus will be on developing and designing heat pump refrigeration circuits regarding performance and reliability. As our Refrigeration Engineer you will have the opportunity to make key decisions in our product development and play an essential role in the creation of our product. You will also proactively monitor and track changing requirements and propose improvements accordingly.

Other responsibilities includes:

- Provide technical support and guidance to the team
- Determine necessary test and evaluations and analyze the results
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors
- Provide and implement solutions aligning with functionality, cost, quality, and user requirements


What we would like you to have
Besides an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to deal with constant change, we would like you to have the following:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

- Solid knowledge of HVAC, refrigeraton, and thermodynamics
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems

- Knowledge of European standards relevant to refrigeration systems and heat pumps
- Understanding of the product development process
